I dn't believe this. According to the news I got from the SQ thread in MH, Ice Revolution will end in SQ #08. Why oh why? I think Ice Revo is a unique , funny series. I mean, how many manga do we have that is about ice skating? *sigh* Well, I hope, SQ doesn't cancel Ao no Exorcist or else I will be seriously mad. *shakes fist*

But despite Ice Revo's cancellation, I'm still slightly happy because I heard that Naked Ape will be doing a oneshot for SQ. I used to read Switch so I'm interested to read Rico and see if it's anything like Switch.

Also, Mayu Shinjo is writing a new series for SQ. I was never a fan of Mayu Shinjo (in fact, I hated her works, no offense to her fans) but I'm interested to see her transition from shoujo to shounen.

O_O omg noez. Don't even tell me that they're going to make SQ exactly like Jump in that the reader responses decide which series get to be kept in the manga. Seriously pisses me off!

I don't think I've ever heard of Shinjo. Which manga has she done?

Yeah, that's one of the things I hated the most about WJ. I thought SQ would be a different mold. Damn you, SQ. You just killed a pretty good series, all because of your poll that only allows you to vote for what 2 or 3 titles? wonder...do you know if other magazines do the poll thing as well?

About Mayu Shinjo, she's the shoujo manga-ka famous for her smutty comics and two-dimensional characterization . I think Kaikan Phrase is her most famous work. Then, there's also Love Celeb. Last I heard, she had some problems with Shogakukan and went on to work freelance.

Frankly, I think it's only WSJ that is so dependent on the review cards. Other magazines may have them, but I don't think they are vital to having a manga stay like WSJ does.

I don't buy the magazines often enough to know. xD

I take it you have read/watched Kaikan Phrase? I have only read her oneshots and I didn't really like them at all.

Actually, I only saw four episodes of the anime. I think that is one of the few fansub VHS that I actually watched only once or twice (many were watched like ten times xD).

Let's just give Mayu Shinjo the benefit of the doubt. Who knows maybe Go Shimei Desu! may turn out to be the best shounen series ever. LOL

Exactly my reaction when I saw the news. Frankly, I can't wait for the next issue of JSQ. Let's see how she pulls it off. XD
